Cool Kids Musical Benefit

This past Friday, a musical benefit was hosted at El Mocambo to benefit the Cool Kids music program for youth in Regent Park. This event was made unique by the fact that you could bid on the different entries in the set list. If you paid more money than the next person, you could be assured that your favourite song would be covered by the army of musicians present.

I was ecstatic when I learned that "Stinkfist" had ranked into the top 25!

Pajama Game Production Shoot

Pajama_Game_Cast.jpg

As part of my ongoing work with Onstage Productions, I photographed their dress rehearsal for the Pajama Game. In terms of theatre, it wasn't really my type of show. In terms of photography, it was a lot of fun to shoot due to all of the ridiculousness that crops up.

Event: Hanabi Fashion Show and Market

few entrepreneurs looked to capitalize on the booming Japanese community in Toronto by organizing a hybrid market/concert/fashion event at the Great Hall. I was asked to be one of the photographers for the event.

Urinetown Production Shoot

DSC_6236_5543.JPG

To further support StageWorks Toronto's production of Urinetown, I photographed the company's dress rehearsal of Urinetown. After having spent so much time with the company and its actors in my role as official photographer, it was fantastic to see all of their hard work come to fruition. It is a phenomenal show, making it even more fun to document.

Comedy Cabaret, a Urinetown Fundraiser

As part of the work I have been doing with theatre company StageWorks Toronto, I photographed their recent fundraising event. It took the form of a comedy cabaret: partnering stand-up comedians with musical theatre actors for an interesting blend of Entertainment.

I was also asked to shoot some video of the event so that it could be viewed by those who missed the fundraiser.

Into the Woods Production Shoot

My ongoing work with StageWorks Toronto's production of Into the Woods had me providing some promotional photos of their rehearsal. This was my first experience with  photographing stage (often a low-light nightmare), and a few tips from the talented Raph Nogal lead me in the right direction.
